Dr Shehzad Jeeva

CEO, Aga Khan University Examination Board

Dr Shehzad Jeeva was appointed the Director, Aga Khan University Examination Board in 2014. After serving as a Board Director for seven years, he was recently appointed as the CEO Aga Khan University - Examination Board. In 2020, Dr Jeeva was appointed as Chairman of Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) by the Ministry of Federal Education, Government of Pakistan. Later in 2021 he became Chairman of the National Steering Committee of IBCC. He is also a member of the National Curriculum Council, Punjab Examination Commission (PEC), Sindh Curriculum Council, Steering Committee Sindh, and Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board. From 2018 to 2019, Dr Jeeva provided consultancy to the Asian Development Bank as National Assessment Expert to develop a project for improvement of Secondary Education in Sindh. He also chairs the Technical Committee of PEC to provide strategy guidance for formative assessment. Additionally, Dr Jeeva was appointed on the Board of Trustees of the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) in 2021 and is also a founding member of the Recognition Committee of IAEA. He completed his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, UK and was awarded the Toby Jackman Prize for the best PhD thesis at Cambridge. Later, he did post-doctoral fellowships from University of York, UK and then from McGill University , Canada. He has authored over 30 publications at the national and international levels.
