Hassan Mujtaba Zaidi

Founder and Executive Director, Discovering New Artists (DNA)

Hassan Mujtaba Zaidi is the Founder and Executive Director of Discovering New Artists (DNA), a youth-led social enterprise that provides an innovative space for children to utilise their strengths, discover their identities, find meaning in the community,, and explore world connections through art and design. He has taught at various education levels and led a Project-based Learning (PBL) school as a Principal for more than three years. Zaidi is a Co-founder and Executive Director of Discovering New Artists and as the Network Engagement Coordinator at The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT), UK. Mujtaba is also serving as a Co-chair Pakistan Chapter of Catalyst 2030, one of the largest international networks of social entrepreneurs. He has been awarded various grants and prestigious awards for his commendable community work including HundrED`s 100 Inspiring Innovations, The Queen`s Young Leaders Award 2018, The Collective Fellowship Award UK 2017, Accountability Lab`s Accountapreneur Fellowship, and multiple grants from IREX and USEFP. Zaidi holds an MPhil in Educational Leadership and Management from Beaconhouse National University (BNU) and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the Forman Christian College. He also participated in a semester exchange programme and studied a semester at Humboldt State University, Arcata, USA. He has worked with multiple non-profit organisations, devising and implementing voluntary activities and went on to lead various social action projects on education, funded by the US Department of State.
