Valerie Khan is an expert on gender, ule of law, child protection & justice with children with 26 years of professional experience in human rights development. She specialises in evidence-based legal and policy reform, capacity-building engineering, programme management, MEAL, and cross-cultural communication. She has extensively worked on comprehensive and tailor-made protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration processes of women and children vulnerable to/survivors of violence. Khan works on institutional reinforcement, youth-led creative, cognitive, inclusive and indigenous socio-cultural transformative processes, and knowledge management. She is a member of the anti-rape special committee established by the Federal MOL&J, and the gender expert committee set up by the National Commission on the Status of Women. Her work has been instrumental in the enactment/notification of many child protection and women’s rights related laws and policies in Pakistan.
