Dr Framji Minwalla currently serves as Programme Director, Communication and Design, at Habib University. He taught his first class of undergraduates in 1989. Before joining Habib University, Dr Minwalla served as Chair, Department of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, where he implemented a transdisciplinary curriculum in the Social Sciences that he helped design. He has also served as Head of Department, Media Sciences at SZABIST, where he helped revise and restructure the department. Before returning to Pakistan, Dr Minwalla taught at a range of colleges and universities including Yale, Vassar College, Dartmouth College, the George Washington University, New York University, and Fordham University. At Habib, he hopes to establish the programme in Communication & Design as a model for interdisciplinary undergraduate education that integrates comparative critical analysis and historical understanding with aesthetic practice.
