Tina Sani is a renowned ghazal singer who began her musical journey in 1979. Over four decades, she has established herself as one of the leading voices in contemporary ghazal music. A purist at heart, Ms Sani received formal training in Indian classical music from Ustad Nizamuddin Khan Sahib and Ustad Chand Amrohvi. She beautifully merges classical discipline with a profound love for Urdu poetry, following in the footsteps of legends like Mehdi Hasan and Begum Akhtar.

Her emotive performances feature works from poets such as Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Mirza Ghalib, and Allama Iqbal. She has graced numerous international stages, believing firmly that music transcends borders, with performances in countries like Ireland, Turkey, and the US. Among her many accolades,is the prestigious Pride of Performance award which she received in 2004 and the Outstanding Contribution to Music award from the President of India in 2011.
