Mr Jude Heaton works for Teach for Malaysia as Programme Director. He previously led the strategy and delivery of access to higher education for Teach First, a charity which trains and supports people with leadership potential to become inspirational teachers in schools in low income communities across the UK. Mr Heaton also serves on the advisory group for the Office for Fair Access. Before joining Teach First, he worked in the British Deputy Prime Minister’s research and analysis unit with a focus on social mobility and served as Alan Milburn’s lead advisor on higher education. Prior to this, Mr Heaton lived in Pakistan for four years. He was the features editor at The Friday Times, and then set up an innovative new school in Lahore with the Beaconhouse School System. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in philosophy.
