Founder, GoClean

Maryam Saleem, a teenager from Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and a Beaconhouse student, is one of the first graduates of SparkTank, Pakistan’s business incubator for youth aged 10-19. She is the founder of GoClean, a startup that converts bio-waste into biogas, providing free portable biodigesters to households in her community. Recently, GoClean received a $3,000 grant from the Global Youth Action Fund, supporting its expansion. Ms Saleem’s dedication to sustainability and innovation has been widely featured, and she also received a Bronze Medal from the Royal Commonwealth Society UK for her essay on her journey with GoClean.
