Dr Adil Haider

Dean, Aga Khan University Medical College

Dr Adil H. Haider is the Dean at the Aga Khan University Medical College, where he is also a Kanji Jamal Endowed Professor of Surgery and Community Health Sciences. Having secured over USD 20 million in research grants, he has over 400 publications and his groundbreaking work on disparities in trauma outcomes led to the founding of surgical disparities research.

Dr Haider has held leadership roles, including President of the Association for Academic Surgery, and has received multiple prestigious awards. He is a trauma and acute care surgeon who received his training in general surgery at the New York Medical College and completed fellowships at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr Haider is a proud alumnus of the Aga Khan University and earned a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
