Zofeen T. Ebrahim

Journalist & Development Sector Consultant

Zofeen T. Ebrahim is an accomplished journalist and development consultant with a career spanning over three decades, specialising in environmental issues, gender equity, and social impact. She has written for publications like Dawn, The Guardian, and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, and has supported NGOs such as UNICEF, UNDP, Save the Children, IUCN, and WaterAid in research and report writing on topics including water management, child labour, and women’s health.

Her achievements include the Developing Asia Journalism Award from the Asian Development Bank Institute, the Green Press Award from Pakistan’s Ministry of Environment, and the UNDP Human Development Media Fellowship for Asia Pacific. In 2007, she was awarded the British Chevening South Asia Journalism Scholarship for her leadership in journalism. Ms Ebrahim has been a member of the World Bank’s South Asia Editor’s Forum since 2022 and regularly leads workshops on climate and health journalism, partnering with organisations like the World Bank and GIZ. Actively involved in panels, such as the 30th International Transplantation Congress, she remains committed to advancing South Asian journalism through mentorship and advocacy.

She holds a Master's in Journalism from the University of the Punjab, Lahore.
