Dr Farheen Ali

Head of Department of Infectious Diseases - NICVD

Dr. Farheen Ali is a graduate of the Dow University of Health Sciences. She received her post graduate training in Internal Medicine from Saint Francis Hospital, Illinois and Fellowship in Infectious Diseases from the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago; she is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has held faculty positions at Liaquat National Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital and South City Hospital, with over 15 years of experience as an Infectious Diseases Consultant. She has also worked as the Regional Medical Expert for GSK. She is one of the founding faculty members of the Infectious Diseases fellowship programme in Pakistan, is a member of IDSA and MMIDSP, and has publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Farheen is currently affiliated with the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, as the Head of Department of Infectious Diseases.
