Dr Faisal Sultan

Special Assistant to PM, National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination

Dr Faisal Sultan is an infectious diseases physician who served as the CEO of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre from 2003 to 2020. After the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr Sultan was appointed as the Prime Minister’s Focal Person on COVID-19 in Pakistan and later as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services in August 2020. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors, Medical Teaching Institute Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar as well as on the steering committee for the Punjab Health Strategic Plan.
