Amber Rahim Shamsi

Amber Rahim Shamsi is an award-winning journalist & Pakistan Editor at Nukta. In her previous role, she served as Director, Centre for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). She is an award-winning multimedia journalist, political commentator, and free speech advocate with wide-ranging experience in mediums including television, radio, online, and print. She is also a fellow of the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) and the International Centre for Excellence in Journalism (ICFJ) Digital. She has participated thrice in the Jinnah Institute's India-Pakistan Track II Chaophraya Dialogue.

Ms Rahim has hosted news and current affairs shows on mainstream Pakistani news channels, and continues to appear on international and national television channels as a political analyst. She was a bilingual reporter for the BBC World Service, where her work largely focused on human rights. A certified e-trainer, she has also written research reports and training manuals on topics including women in media, gender, and conflict reporting. Ms Rahim serves on the advisory board of the Pakistan Press Foundation, a media development organisation.
