Amber Rahim Shamsi

Amber Rahim Shamsi is the Pakistan Editor at Nukta and an award-winning multimedia journalist with two decades of experience across digital, print, and broadcast media.

She previously served as Director at the Centre for Excellence in Journalism (IBA), where she expanded partnerships and launched UNDP’s iVerify Pakistan fact-checking initiative.

Her career includes anchoring and reporting roles at Samaa TV, Hum News, and Dawn News, as well as reporting and editing at the Herald magazine. She worked at the BBC World Service (2010–2016) as a bilingual journalist, breaking major stories in both English and Urdu.

Her writing and commentary have appeared in Dawn, Al Jazeera, Arab News, and international outlets including CNN, BBC, Al-Jazeera, VOA, and NPR.
