Attiq Ahmed

Principal Architect, AEDL; Founder, OCCO

Mr Attiq Ahmed is the principal architect and chief executive of AEDL, a boutique firm specializing in high-quality design and construction innovations. Mr Ahmed is an Associate Professor at the National College of Arts University, from where he earned a degree in architecture. He also has a Master’s degree in urban planning from Columbia University. Shortlisted for the International Design & Architecture Awards 2017 in London and co-winner in the Young Talent category at the 13th annual Elle Décor International Design Awards (EDIDA) in India, Mr Ahmed is a design powerhouse. He is the co-founder of Pakistan Rising, an organization dedicated to education, and founder of OCCO, which works to inform policymakers and stakeholders about issues affecting Pakistan’s urban centres and provides design solutions to preserve the social fabric of these cities. OCCO has also invited and hosted professors from the U.S. and Italy to participate in urban planning discussions and lectures in Pakistan.
