Yasser Bashir is the founder and CEO of Arbisoft Ltd - one of Pakistan's fastest growing software and technology development companies with clients including KAYAK, Amazon, edX, Indeed, Microsoft, MIT, Harvard, McKinsey and Travelport to name a few. Arbisoft has also worked on a number of award winning products including Moonbeam, IlmX, Edly, Sentimeter and ListenTool. Bashir is also the founding member of PyCon Pakistan, a franchise of the global Python community. Bashir serves on the board of OPEN (Orgnisation of Pakistani Entrepreneurs), Lahore and has served as a board member for The Environment Protection Fund and several tech companies. Before Arbisoft he launched a medical imaging company and a software services firm. He held key roles at Orthoclear and Align Technology and also has US patents in his name. He has been an active contributor to the start-up ecosystem and has served as a mentor and advisor at LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship, PlanX accelerator, Invest2Innovate and Telenor Velocity, advising over 100 start-ups. Bashir holds a BSc (Hons.) degree in Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences and an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He also published research papers during his time at Stanford University's Medical Informatics research lab.
