Jamshed Kazi

Country Representative, UN Women Pakistan

Mr Jamshed Kazi currently holds the position of Country Representative of UN Women, Pakistan. Prior to assuming his current job, he was director of UNDP’s Global Policy Centre (Oslo Governance Centre) in Norway. From 2010-2014, Mr Kazi was global Practice Manager of the Democratic Governance portfolio at UNDP headquarters. He has also worked for UNV, UNDP in Ethiopia and Lao PDR, UNESCAP, UNEP and IUCN – The World Conservation Union. A national of Bangladesh, Mr Kazi holds Master’s degrees in Public Administration, Development Studies, and Environmental Assessment and Evaluation from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the London School of Economics. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and International Development.
