Dr Aminah Khan

Country Director Pakistan, Jhpiego

Dr Aminah Khan is the Country Director for Jhpiego Pakistan, bringing over twenty years of experience in public health policy, programme design, and large-scale implementation. She has led pioneering initiatives in health system strengthening, the One Health approach, and integrated healthcare solutions for women, newborns, and families. Dr Khan spearheaded Punjab???s flagship Infection Prevention and Control Programme and the Hepatitis Control Programme, both of which set national benchmarks.

Her expertise spans reproductive and sexual health, maternal, newborn and child health, disease prevention and control, antimicrobial resistance, healthcare-associated infections, vaccine introduction, routine immunisation, and global health security. She has designed and implemented major health information systems, including Electronic Medical Records, HMIS for the Hepatitis Control Programme, and Pakistan???s first maternal and perinatal death surveillance and response system. Most recently, she has led the development of Pakistan???s first genomic surveillance system to strengthen national preparedness and response.

Dr Khan has held senior roles across the public and private sectors, international NGOs such as Greenstar Social Marketing and DKT, for-profit organisations including BBraun International, and global bodies such as the World Health Organization. Her work has significantly advanced public health delivery in Pakistan, and she remains deeply committed to serving her country and community.
