Nasim Zehra

National Security, Strategic Affairs Expert, Journalist & Educator

Nasim Zehra is a national security specialist, journalist, and author, widely recognised for her expertise in global politics, development, and strategic affairs. She is currently Editor, Diplomatic and Strategic Affairs at City News Network and hosts a current affairs programme on Channel 24. Ms Zehra writes extensively, lectures both nationally and internationally, and has participated in multiple Track II bilateral and multilateral dialogues.

She also serves as a faculty member at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and is a Fellow of the Harvard University Asia Centre, Cambridge. Previously, she has taught at the National University of Science and Technology and at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, Washington. Ms Zehra has served in advisory roles including the President’s Advisory Committee on Foreign Affairs and National Security, as a member of the National Kashmir Committee, and as Pakistan’s Special Envoy on UNSC reforms for Canada and Latin America.

Her development sector experience includes consultancy and advisory roles with CIDA, SDC, the World Bank, ADB, UNDP, and DFID. She holds an MBA from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and a Master’s in Law & Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, USA.
