Dr Yasmeen Sultana Farooqui is the Dean at ILMA University, a distinguished academic, media science expert, and literary figure.

With a career spanning multiple decades, she has held leadership roles as Head of Department at Jinnah University for Women and Sindh Madressatul Islam University, and served ten years in the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Karachi, shaping future media professionals. Dr Farooqui’s research includes her acclaimed book FM Radio: A Tool of Community Awareness. A Case Study of Quetta, published by the Ministry of Culture, Balochistan, and she has authored four books and over 35 research papers. She is Editor-in-Chief of the HEC-recognized Journal of Media and Communication, Associate Editor of Urdu, and Editor of Qaumi Zaban. A respected member of multiple literary and cultural organisations, including Arts Council and Quaid-e-Azam Writers Guild, Dr. Farooqui’s work bridges academia, media, and literature, reflecting a lifelong commitment to knowledge, research, and cultural development.

She holds a dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Mass Communication, as well as a PhD.
