Award-winning Filmmaker

Khalid Hasan Khan is an award-winning Pakistani filmmaker renowned for his compelling storytelling across documentary and feature films, exploring social issues, environmental themes, sports, and the arts. His work has earned international acclaim, with twenty-six awards and screenings at over 100 film festivals across Australia, Europe, Asia, and North America.

His debut feature, the psycho-thriller Hotal, won two awards at the Delhi International Film Festival. His short film Unmasking, on vaccine hesitancy, became Pakistan’s most internationally awarded short, earning twelve accolades across France, Türkiye, Singapore, and the United States. Other notable works include Murder of Mystic, which received the Eco-Selection Award in Venice; Twinkling Without Shining, about Afghan refugee childhoods, which won five awards; and Barefoot with Godfather of Soccer — Unwanted but Undaunted, which received five awards in the UK and U.S. His short film The Painterist, on art piracy, was also internationally recognised.

Mr Khan is a graduate of the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles.
