Dr Tayyaba Tamim

Dean, School of Education, LUMS

Dr Tayyaba Tamim is the Dean of the School of Education at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and Faculty Lead for the Pedagogical Partnership Programme at the LUMS Learning Institute. She has led several funded research projects with national and international partners, including USAID, the British Council, and the World Bank, and has published and presented her work at numerous national and international forums.

Her research focuses on social justice, equity, and inclusivity in education, with particular emphasis on languages in education, language policy, gender, and caste. At LUMS, she teaches courses such as Education for Social Justice, Inclusive Education, and Interdisciplinary Theoretical Perspectives in Education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She also serves as a resource person for HEC and PHEC, providing in-service and pre-service training to university and college faculty.

Dr Tamim holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge as a fully funded RECOUP scholar, an MPhil in Research in Second Language Education Across Cultures (RSLE) from Cambridge as a British Council Chevening scholar, an MA in ELT from Kinnaird College for Women University, and an MA in English from the University of Punjab, Pakistan.
