Izza Farrukh

Senior Education Specialist, World Bank

Izza Farrakh is a Senior Education Specialist at the World Bank, with over twenty years of experience working with consulting firms, international NGOs, and multilateral institutions on education reform.

She has led several large-scale education programmes, including the FCDO-funded Punjab and Khyber Education Sector Programmes in Pakistan, driving improvements in access, quality, and governance. Before joining the World Bank, Ms Farrakh worked with the UK-based consulting firm Adam Smith International, where she most recently served as Head of Pakistan, overseeing a portfolio of development projects focused on institutional strengthening and education sector reform.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and English from the University of Virginia and a graduate degree in Public Policy and Management from SOAS, University of London.
