Dr Zehra Jamil

Assistant Professor, Aga Khan University

Dr Zehra Jamil is an Assistant Professor at Aga Khan University's departments of Biological & Biomedical Sciences and Community Health Sciences.

She holds an MBBS, MPhil in Anatomy, and a PhD in Health Sciences from AKU. Her research focuses on understanding how nutritional programs can improve the health of undernourished children by studying gut bacteria and using computer models. Currently, she is investigating ways to detect early signs of high-risk pregnancies. Her work addresses Pakistan’s high maternal and infant mortality rates, which are increasingly influenced by climate change.

As an educator, Dr. Jamil blends AI-assisted technology with traditional clinical training, equipping future doctors with both technological proficiency and expertise in patient care.
